My maltese loves this ball. It’s the first thing he grabs in the morning and he plays with it practically all day long. We have had to replace the batteries numerous times and have purchased a couple of backup balls, just in case … The animal sounds are loud, varied and unceasing until the batteries run out or you put the ball away, lol! My dog plays and plays and plays, throwing it, hiding it and just generally chewing on it. It can be truly annoying until you realize how much fun your furry friend is having. No regrets, even sent some “gift” balls to my other family members for their pets. My sister’s labradoodle loves the ball; and her golden retriever not so much. My dad’s chihuahua loves it as much as my maltese does. If your dog likes to play, you should try this ball. So much fun!

This is the 3rd babble ball I have purchased. My dog loves it so much and has hours of fun with it all by himself! It’s so entertaining for us to watch and interact with him too. The first two stopped working correctly even after fresh batteries. My dog is big and he is very active and throws it and really barks and talks to it. I wish it were a bit tougher on the inside for dogs like him but it’s so worth buying another one. I Highly recommend this ball. It’s a very hard shell so it may be best to let them play outside rather than inside your home.

I bought this for my blind Pekingese in hopes he’d interact with it. Though the animal sounds are adorable and not at all loud, Mr. Magoo was terrified. 0% curious. To my surprise, his Pug brother, Rico Suave, came to see where the elephant sounds were coming from. Then the neighbor dog, Fred the Chihuahua, came over to check out the scene. Rico and Fred played hard, sometimes picking the toy up to chase each other and sometimes just tapping it to get a sound. They had such a good time that I ordered the talking version today. When Mr. Magoo unknowingly gets close and activates the sounds, he still recoils in horror. And if that’s not what dog toys are about then idk what is.

Our 11 pound Yorkie/terrier mix was afraid of it at first. In a few days, his curiosity got the best of him…he began to sit and watch it but wouldn’t touch it. A few days later, he began guarding it…put it in his bed and acted like a hen guarding her eggs. Gradually, he began to play with it and now he’s all over the room, batting it and chasing it, then “buries” in his bed. The sounds from the ball are hilarious, and we all enjoy it. However, it is not a ball you would throw…the plastic case would not hold up, but has not been damaged by play. After several weeks, the internal battery is dying so I ordered a replacement…I don’t believe it has a replacement battery. Nevertheless, it is a source of great fun for our dog and the price is right.

I got a chow pup and initially he was scared of it. Waited a few weeks and he can’t get enough. Throws it up in the air . We tell him, ” Get your puppy dog ball.” Because that’s one of the phrases. Will buy again. A little larger option might be nice .

I have 2 rat terriers and they love this toy – a little too much. Okay, a LOT too much. I read through the posts so I was prepared for how it operates. For my dogs, it’s the sounds and not the motion that they love. So I wrapped the ball in a sock and put that sock inside the other sock. So the first sock protects the ball and blocks the motion sensor. The second sock (that’s tied to the chair) means that Dottie (the destroyer) can’t run off and damage it.

Our Shepherd Collie LOVES this toy and it keeps her entertained for a good amount of time. She likes to toss it in the air and so far it has held up. It can be activated by loud voices and heavy footsteps… and sometimes seemingly nothing at all, so be warned. Don’t let the Rhinoceros sounds startle you. 🙂
